Seeded invites & flyers

Marketing that grows on people. Literally.

Every sheet starts life at our farm workshop — pulped, pressed with wildflower or poppy seeds, and hand-dried until it’s ready to print. Your design goes on with cool-running inkjet (heat kills seeds; that’s why we don’t use it), and what arrives is a flyer, invite or leaflet with a second life waiting inside it. Hand it out, pin it up, post it — then whoever’s holding it can plant it, water it, and watch it turn into flowers.

From 5 copies

No 50-minimum here. Order 5, 10 or 25 — perfect for weddings, small events and short runs nobody else will touch.

Next-day delivery

Order by 11am with print-ready artwork and it’s with you the next working day, anywhere in the UK. £7.99 flat.

Checked by a human

Every file is opened and checked by a real person before it prints. If something looks off, we email you — we don’t print problems.

How it works

Three steps from screen to soil

Order & upload

Pick your size, quantity, sides and seed paper above, then upload your artwork — or email it after checkout quoting your order number.

We check & print

A human checks your file for size, resolution and anything that won’t print well on textured paper. Then it’s printed and hand-finished at the workshop.

Delivered, then planted

Dispatched for next working day delivery. When the paper’s done its job: plant it under a thin layer of compost, keep it moist, and give it a sunny spot.

Artwork

Supplying your artwork

We accept the files you actually have. PDF is best; a good-quality JPEG or PNG straight from Canva works too. Set your document to the trim size plus 3mm bleed on every edge, keep text at least 5mm inside the edges, and aim for 300dpi at print size.

Size Trim size With 3mm bleed Good for
A7 74 × 105mm 80 × 111mm Save-the-dates, swing-tag style inserts
A6 105 × 148mm 111 × 154mm Invites, postcards, handouts
A5 148 × 210mm 154 × 216mm Flyers, menus, event programmes
A4 210 × 297mm 216 × 303mm Posters, notices, letterhead-style pieces

The human check, in plain English: before anything prints, one of us opens your file and looks at it properly — resolution, bleed, text too close to the edge, colours that won’t behave on textured paper. If we spot a problem we email you the same morning rather than printing it wrong. No automated rejections, no reprint roulette.

The paper

Handmade, and it shows (that’s the point)

Hand-dried in small batches

Our paper is dried by hand at the farm, not machine-calendared in a mill. Every sheet carries a soft texture and visible seeds — no two are identical, and that’s exactly why people keep them.

Colour, managed honestly

Seed paper is uncoated and textured, so colours print softer and more organic than glossy stock — think watercolour, not billboard. Bold shapes, generous type and earthy palettes look stunning. Tiny text below 8pt and edge-to-edge dark floods are the things we’ll flag.

Wildflower or poppy

Choose a mixed wildflower paper that grows a bee-friendly spread of blooms, or our poppy paper for a single striking flower. Same price, same growing instructions.

Cool-running inkjet

Fifteen years of inkjet craft is what lets us print seed paper at all — no heat fusing, so the seeds arrive alive. It’s slower than a laser press. It’s also the only way to do this properly.

Questions

Seeded flyers, answered

How fast will I get my order?

Order by 11am on a working day with print-ready artwork and we dispatch for next working day delivery. Orders after 11am roll to the next print day. Delivery is £7.99, UK only.

What’s the minimum order?

Five. Genuinely five — ideal for intimate weddings, samples, or testing a design before a bigger run.

Can you print both sides?

Yes — choose Double Sided above. Because the paper is textured and uncoated, very heavy ink coverage on both sides can soften the sheet slightly, so we’ll sense-check dense double-sided designs during the human check.

Will the seeds actually grow after printing?

Yes. We print with cool-running inkjet specifically because heat-based printing kills seeds. Plant the paper under about 5mm of compost, water well, keep it moist and in the light — expect shoots in 2–4 weeks, faster in spring and summer.

What files can I send, and what if mine isn’t right?

PDF is ideal; JPEG, PNG, TIFF, AI, EPS or a ZIP of any of those are all fine. Every file is checked by a person before printing — if there’s an issue we’ll email you rather than print it wrong.

Will my colours look exactly like my screen?

Close, but softer. Uncoated handmade paper drinks ink differently to coated stock, so expect a gentler, more natural finish — it’s a big part of the charm. If a colour is critical, order a small quantity first as a proof run.

Can I mix designs in one order?

Each design is its own order so our checks and job sheets stay clean. Need lots of designs or over 1,000 copies? Email hello@plantablepaper.co.uk and we’ll quote it properly.

Where do you deliver?

UK-wide, next working day, £7.99. We don’t currently ship internationally — seed paper crossing borders runs into biosecurity rules, and we’d rather say no than have your order sat in customs.
